On The Metabolism Miracle carb- balanced program, I used to miss having a sub roll. A regular 6” sub roll has over 45 grams net carb!!! And that makes a foot long sub roll over 90 grams net carb! But the new GLCBC sub rolls are NEUTRAL in a 6″ size. No countable carb grams for MM.
Whether you call it a sub, submarine, or hoagie….there’s something about this type of roll that makes a sub authentic. My fav? Shaved oven-roasted turkey, Lorraine Swiss, shredded lettuce, sliced Jersey tomatoes, and very thinly sliced onion. Add some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a dash of salt and freshly ground pepper and split this with my hubby!…6” sub for each of us…. Yum.
If you prefer to have a “scooped out” sub roll, scoop out the inside of this sub roll, freeze the extra inside bread in a Zip-Loc bag and use it later for stuffing!
Sometimes, we split the roll open and bake at 400◦ F for a few minutes. Then add toppings (like cooked. shaved sandwich steak, cheddar cheese, sautéed peppers and onions and back into the oven for another 5 minutes or so. So delish and neutral in a 6” serving!
